HPCL buys West Africa crude for Rajasthan refinery, sources say

Hindustan Petroleum Corp has purchased two million barrels of West African crude oil. This significant purchase is destined for its Rajasthan refinery, which operates at 180,000 barrels daily. The Nigerian Okwuibome and Utapate crude was acquired from the trader Glencore. This oil shipment is expected to arrive at the refinery by late September. Hindustan Petroleum holds a seventy-four percent stake in the refinery venture.
