IEX shares rise 2% after electricity trading volume jumps 20% YoY to hit record high in August

IEX shares rose on Friday after the exchange reported record monthly electricity trading volume of 13,938 MUs in August, up 20.2% year-on-year. Higher power demand lifted Day-Ahead Market buy bids, while prices also increased. However, REC volumes fell sharply amid lower participation, declining 86.6% year-on-year during the month.
