Equity benchmarks opened on a cautious note on Monday with the Nifty 50 opening at 22,593.20 against a previous close of 22,520.45, and trading near 22,525.60, up just 5.15 points or 0.02 per cent, at 9.25 am. The Sensex opened at 72,771.32 compared to its previous close of 72,472.33, before slipping to 72,426.28
