Fractal Fib Trend Integrity System
Family: pullback · Regime: trending · Complexity: medium · Asset classes: FX, Indices, Equities · Timeframes: H1, H4, M15
Thesis
Trends tend to persist when supported by high session volume; by using Fibonacci retracements as entry points and Fractal pivots as structural stops, we capture 'discount' entries in a verified trend while filtering out noise via diagnostic data integrity checks.
Components
- V54 stoch-independent-bound-holes (regime) — Acts as a 'clean data' and momentum regime filter; it ensures the price action is continuous (no NaNs) and that stochastic momentum is not exhausted.
- SuperTrend MT5 (FxGeek) (direction) — Establishes the dominant trend direction and volatility-adjusted floor/ceiling to prevent trading against the primary momentum.
- Auto Fibonacci (entry) — Identifies high-probability entry zones (0.5 and 0.618 retracements) within the established SuperTrend direction.
- MACD (exit) — Used to time the exit by detecting momentum divergence or exhaustion (Signal line cross) after the Fib entry.
- Support and Resistance (Fractal-based) (risk) — Provides structural anchor points for Stop Loss placement based on the most recent validated fractal pivot.
- Calendar Session Utility (volatility_filter) — Filters out low-liquidity periods where Fibonacci levels and SuperTrend signals are prone to noise and erratic gaps.
Known failure conditions
- SuperTrend remains flat for extended periods (indicates non-trending environment).
- V54 indicator returns frequent NaNs or 'holes', suggesting illiquid data or feed issues.
- Price hits fractal stop before MACD exit more than 4 consecutive times, suggesting trend breakdown.
