Thesis

Market breakouts are most reliable when short-term momentum (SSL) and intermediate trend bias (HiLo) align with volatility-adjusted price structure. By using the Grid Utility as a regime filter, the strategy avoids 'dead zones' where lack of liquidity creates false volatility signals. The edge is derived from capturing the Meat of the move' while using a volatility-adjusted stop to remain in the trade during minor pullbacks.

Components

• Grid Utility (Rosasurfer Framework) (regime) — Establishes market structure; ensures the price distance between grid levels is sufficient to avoid entering in 'micro-range' environments where pixel-density based grid sizes are too narrow.
• HiLo Activator (Gann Style) (direction) — Provides the primary trend bias by comparing the previous period's high/low averages to current price.
• Donchian Channels (entry) — The execution trigger; captures volatility breakouts at the 20-period high/low.

• Prolonged sideways consolidation where HiLo Activator and SSL flip-flop within the Donchian Channel width.
• The external Rosasurfer DLL fails to return chart height, rendering the regime filter inactive.
• A series of 'fake-outs' where price touches the Donchian Upper then immediately hits the TopTrend Stop.
