GARCH-Volumatic Structural Liquidity Strategy

Thesis
Market participants leave 'volume footprints' at structural extremes. By using a GARCH model to measure 'Conditional Volatility', we can quantify the risk of a breakout vs. a fakeout. This strategy assumes that price interactions with volume-heavy support/resistance zones are more reliable when volatility is clustering (predictable) and volume intensity (POC) confirms institutional presence. The edge lies in the precision of volume-based entry timing combined with mathematically rigorous risk scaling.
Components
- Unsupported drawing getter return qualifier (Test Fixture) (regime) — Acts as a regime filter by validating the existence of manual/automated drawing boxes which define the 'Trade Zone'. Trading is only permitted when a valid drawing object (ID) is retrieved.
- Candles Overlay Template (direction) — Provides the directional bias (Trend Filter). Only long trades are allowed when the candle stream is categorized as 'Top' (Green).
- Volumatic Support/Resistance Levels [BigBeluga] (entry) — Identifies specific entry trigger points based on volume-weighted price extremes. Entries occur upon touching these high-volume levels.
- Stochastic Oscillator (exit) — Used for mean-reversion exits; signals when momentum has reached an overextended state (Overbought/Oversold).
- Conditional Volatility (CV) (risk) — Calculates the GARCH(1,1) risk profile to dynamically size positions and set stop losses based on current volatility clustering.
- VolumeHeatmap (Experimental Marketorders Matrix) (volatility_filter) — Acts as a secondary volatility/liquidity filter. Entries are only valid if price is currently intersecting a high-intensity Point of Control (POC) within the heatmap.
Known failure conditions
- Volatility clustering breaks down (Alpha + Beta >= 1 in the GARCH model), leading to infinite variance.
- Market regime transitions to a persistent low-volume 'grind' where Volumatic S/R levels fail to generate sufficient n_vol signals.
- Drawing objects are cleared from the chart, disabling the Regime Qualifier.
