Grid-Explosion Volume Efficiency System

Thesis
The hypothesis is that high-conviction trends are characterized by 'efficient' volume moves that occur at fixed point-intervals. By requiring a breakout of a 30-point grid level to be accompanied by a volatility explosion (WAE) and momentum shift (CCI), we isolate moves where market participants are actively committing capital (VARR) to push price into a new structural zone. Using ATR Heiken Ashi for risk ensures that stops are placed outside of 'synthetic noise' generated by standard price bars.
Components
- Point Based Grid (regime) — Provides a fixed structural framework. The hypothesis assumes price velocity increases when transitioning between fixed point-zones, acting as psychological support/resistance triggers.
- Sherif Hilo (direction) — Establishes the macro-bias. Entries are only permitted in the direction of the HHV/LLV breakout to avoid counter-trend traps.
- CCI Arrows (entry) — Acts as the immediate execution trigger by signaling a shift in mean-reversion momentum across the zero-line.
- Ichimoku Kinko Hyo (exit) — The Kijun-sen (base line) serves as a trailing dynamic exit, representing the equilibrium of the last 26 periods.
- ATR Heiken Ashi (risk) — Uses smoothed Heiken Ashi price action to calculate volatility, providing a noise-filtered stop-loss distance.
- Volume to Absolute Return Ratio (confirmation) — Confirms the validity of the move. High volume relative to price change suggests 'high-effort' participation, ensuring the move isn't a low-liquidity fluke.
- Waddah Attar Explosion (WAE) (volatility_filter) — Filters out low-volatility 'noise' by ensuring price acceleration exceeds Bollinger Band width.
Known failure conditions
- Strategy fails if market enters a 'tight range' where WAE consistently stays below the DeadZone while CCI generates frequent zero-crossings.
- Invalidated if Point Based Grid increments are smaller than the average ATR, leading to excessive signal frequency.
