Thesis
The strategy operates on the hypothesis that major trends are best entered when momentum and market structure align, but best exited when the asset's price becomes statistically detached from its historical relationship with a correlated peer. By using MdAE for risk, we account for typical forecast errors rather than just price volatility (ATR), potentially providing tighter, more logical stops in stable trends. The edge lies in exiting 'before' the trend reversal by identifying statistical exhaustion in the broader market context (the pair relationship).

- Ichimoku Kinko Hyo (regime) — Defines the primary trend regime; price must be outside the Kumo cloud to ensure we are not in a low-volatility ranging environment.
- Absolute Strength Histogram (ASH) (direction) — Provides the directional filter by measuring the raw strength of bulls vs bears based on RSI components.
- Qualitative Quantitative Estimation (QQE) (entry) — The trigger mechanism; uses volatility-adjusted RSI smoothing to identify momentum breakouts within the established trend.
