Mass Squeeze Momentum Reversal

Family: volatility · Regime: high_vol · Complexity: medium · Asset classes: Forex, Indices, Commodities · Timeframes: H1, H4

Thesis

Market volatility is mean-reverting. By identifying 'volatility bulges' via the Mass Index and waiting for a period of consolidation (Squeeze), we can capture the subsequent volatility expansion. The edge exists because price momentum (Bulls Power) and trend direction (MACD Cloud) tend to align during the release of a squeeze that follows a high-volatility reversal regime.
