Mass-Volume Bulge Reversal Strategy

Family: hybrid · Regime: high_vol · Complexity: medium · Asset classes: Forex, Equities, Indices · Timeframes: H1, H4

Thesis

The hypothesis is that trend reversals are structural events characterized by a specific 'volatility bulge' where the high-low range expands significantly before contracting and choosing a new direction. By identifying this range expansion with the Mass Index and requiring both a price breakout (SuperTrend) and volume flow confirmation (PVT), we can distinguish between sustainable new trends and noise. The edge exists because markets tend to move from periods of high variance (climaxes) to trending periods, and volume serves as the necessary fuel for this transition.
