MESA-Volume Pullback Convergence Strategy

Family: pullback · Regime: trending · Complexity: high · Asset classes: Equities, Forex, Crypto · Timeframes: H1, H4

Thesis

Market cycles persist even within strong trends; however, traditional oscillators often fail due to trend bias. By using Ehlers' Highpass filter to strip trend components from the cycle (MSTOCH) and only entering when volume-weighted momentum (200-SMA Gradient) confirms trend strength, we can identify high-probability mean-reversion entries in the direction of the dominant trend. The edge exists because the strategy ignores low-volume noise and enters only when price pressure (Bears Power) shows exhaustion within a broader high-interest move.
