Thesis

Markets trend when institutional 'Value' (represented by Volume Profile POC) moves in alignment with momentum. By identifying a consolidation (Boxline) near a High-Volume Node (POC) in a trending environment (ADX), we can enter the next expansion phase with high conviction. The edge exists because price tends to use volume-heavy zones as support/resistance 'launchpads' during trend continuation phases.

Components

• Average Directional Index (ADX) (regime) — Filters for active trending regimes (ADX > 25) to avoid whipsaws in low-volatility chop.
• Average Force (direction) — Provides the directional bias; ensuring price is positioned in the upper/lower half of its recent range with momentum.

• Auto Fibonacci (exit) — Dynamically projects take-profit targets based on the impulsive leg preceding the entry.

• t_ma (Smoothed LWMA) (confirmation) — Acts as the final trigger; the crossover of the LWMA and its 6-bar average confirms momentum shift.
• Volumatic Support/Resistance Levels [BigBeluga] (volatility_filter) — Ensures entries occur near volume-backed support/resistance rather than in 'thin' air.

Known failure conditions

• ADX sustained below 20 for more than 50 bars (regime death).
• Price repeatedly 'piercing' Boxline boundaries without following through (volatility expansion without direction).
• Volume Profile POC shifting significantly (>1 ATR) immediately after entry, indicating a value migration against the trade.
