Structural Volatility Trend-Momentum Hybrid

Family: trend_following · Regime: trending · Complexity: medium · Asset classes: FX, Indices, Commodities · Timeframes: M15, H1, H4

Thesis

Trend persistence is most likely when dynamic volatility-adjusted support (SuperTrend) aligns with price-action imbalances (FVGs). By layering momentum growth (MACD) and filtering for exogenous shocks (News), we capture the 'meat' of the move while exiting at momentum exhaustion points (Stochastic). The edge lies in the exclusion of high-noise news periods and the requirement of structural confirmation (FVG) before entering a trend.
