The Percentage Volume Oscillator (PVO) measures the momentum of volume by calculating the percentage difference between two EMAs of volume. It functions similarly to the MACD but applied to volume instead of price.

Formula

PVO = \frac{EMA(Volume, fast) - EMA(Volume, slow)}{EMA(Volume, slow)} \times 100 \\ Signal = EMA(PVO, signal\_period) \\ Histogram = PVO - Signal

Inputs

• i_fast_period (default: 12)
• i_slow_period (default: 26)
• i_signal_period (default: 9)
