EVZ-Momentum Confluence Engine

Family: trend_following · Regime: trending · Complexity: high · Asset classes: FX (EUR/USD focus) · Timeframes: H1, H4

Thesis

The strategy exploits the lag between implied volatility (EVZ) and price breakout momentum. By filtering for trending environments (VHF) and requiring dual momentum confirmation (TSI_CD and MACD), we enter only when structural momentum is high, using EVZ to ensure risk parameters reflect the options market's expectation of realized volatility. The 'edge' lies in using the 30-day volatility expectation to price current risk in a high-momentum technical setup.
