Linear Fidelity Liquidity Breakout (LFLB) Strategy

Family: trend_following · Regime: trending · Complexity: medium · Asset classes: FX, Indices, Commodities · Timeframes: 1H, 4H

Thesis

The reliability of price breakouts is a function of the 'linearity' of the preceding trend. By using Standard Error to filter for high-fidelity trends, we identify environments where institutional liquidity (SNAP zones) is more likely to lead to sustained momentum expansion rather than false breakouts. The edge lies in avoiding 'ragged' or high-noise trends where the linear regression model fails to capture price behavior.
