RWI-WAE Displacement Explosion System

Family: trend_following · Regime: trending · Complexity: high · Asset classes: FX, Equities, Commodities · Timeframes: H1, H4

Thesis

Trend following is most effective when price movement is statistically non-random (RWI > 1) and accompanied by an 'explosion' in volatility (WAE). This strategy assumes that DI-crossovers are only valid signals when they occur during these persistent, high-momentum regimes, filtered by triple-smoothed momentum (TRIX) to reduce noise. Stop-loss placement at Fibonacci 1.0 levels provides a structural anchor to the origin of the trend segment.
