Thesis

Market trends are most tradable when momentum (Trendilo), volatility (SuperTrend), and structural support/resistance (NNFX Zones) align. By entering on a MACD signal only when price is outside a Bollinger squeeze and supported by a long-term SMA, the strategy isolates high-probability expansion phases while using volatility-adjusted exits to protect capital.

• SuperTrend (regime) — Defines the primary trend regime; only trades in the direction of the SuperTrend color.
• Trendilo MT5 (direction) — Provides a smoothed momentum filter to ensure the regime has sufficient velocity to overcome ALMA-based variance.
• Connect MACD (Azullian) (entry) — Acts as the execution trigger when the histogram crosses zero in alignment with the higher-level filters.
• Average True Range (ATR) (exit) — Calculates a volatility-adjusted trailing stop-loss and profit target multiplier.
• Supply & Demand Zones (NNFX) (risk) — Defines hard-stop placement based on market structure (pivots) and determines position sizing based on distance to zone.
• SMA3x5+BB - pjdhiro (volatility_filter) — Filters out low-volatility environments (BB Squeeze) and provides a long-term trend filter (200 SMA).

Known failure conditions

• Market enters a prolonged tight range where Bollinger Band width remains below the 30-period average for >50 bars.
• SuperTrend flips more than 3 times within 10 candles (whipsaw).
• Trendilo signal flattens to zero during high-impact news events.
