Thesis
The strategy exploits the lag between implied volatility (EVZ) and price breakout momentum. By filtering for trending environments (VHF) and requiring dual momentum confirmation (TSI_CD and MACD), we enter only when structural momentum is high, using EVZ to ensure risk parameters reflect the options market's expectation of realized volatility. The 'edge' lies in using the 30-day volatility expectation to price current risk in a high-momentum technical setup.

- Momentum (direction) — Determines the primary direction of the trade via zero-line crosses.
- TSI Convergence Divergence (TSI_CD) (entry) — Serves as the high-sensitivity entry trigger based on momentum acceleration (histogram color changes).
- IAE — Technical Confluence Score (exit) — Aggregates 10 layers of data to detect exhaustion or trend decay for exit signals.
- Euro FX VIX (EVZ) Data Loader (risk) — Uses implied volatility from the options market to scale position size and set stop-loss distances.
- GoldenChart MACD (confirmation) — Confirms the entry signal by ensuring the broader trend momentum is aligned with the TSI_CD trigger.
- Vertical Horizontal Filter (VHF) (volatility_filter) — Filters out choppy, non-trending environments where TSI and MACD produce whipsaws.
Known failure conditions
- EVZ remains low while realized volatility spikes unexpectedly (IV/RV decoupling).
