McNicholl-PiPi Structural Momentum Trader

Family: trend_following · Regime: trending · Complexity: high · Asset classes: FX, Equities, Crypto · Timeframes: M15, H1

Thesis

The strategy hypothesizes that market trends are fractal and that high-momentum moves on the H1 timeframe create predictable 'infrastructure' zones (PiPi levels) on the M15. By using a zero-lag EMA (McNicholl) to confirm the resumption of the trend after a pullback to these zones, and filtering for daily-scale overextension (D1 BB), the trader can capture the most efficient portion of a trend with a volatility-adjusted risk profile.
